Animal Medicine Wisdom is a unique modality influenced by the work of Carl Jung, Dr Eligio Stephen Gallegos’ Personal Totem Pole Process, Intuitive Bodywork and Shamanic Practices.
Through guided visualisations, and states of deep relaxation you will meet your animal custodian/s and they will meet with and support each other in a communal effort to bring you back into balance. These animals show up as symbolic representations of each of the 7 energy points in your body (often referred to as Chakras). Sometimes these energy centres are also represented by aspects of nature such as the Moon, a Tree etc. however Animals are the most common teachers here.
These animals are metaphors for aspects of our inner worlds, our psyche, connecting us more deeply to our own inherent wisdom that is communicated through their energies. The animals work with us both individually and collectively giving us new perspectives and ways to see and heal ourselves.
I first discovered my personal animal totem to be a Hawk while journeying with a Shamanic Studies community. I have since learned that while we may have one unique totem that serves as a kind of ‘spirit guide’ so to speak, we can also learn about and heal ourselves through communing with the animals that reside in our other six core energy centres; the seventh being our crown, the home of the afore mentioned ‘spirit guide’ totem.
Working with Animal Nature Medicine can be used to gain a deeper understanding of yourself in general and/or to focus on a specific issue/story that you would like further insight on.
This process invites the possibility to create a new or deeper connection with your individual 'spirit guide' as well as inviting support guides to speak to what is needed to restore balance in each energy centre (chakra).
Once you have strong connections with healthy totems you can continue to receive guidance from these animals on our own. Get in touch for a chat about how this can look for you.
